Curriculum Leaders

Each subject at Knaresborough St Johns CE Primary School has equal importance.  To ensure that every subject is delivered to the highest standard, we have appointed each curriculum area a subject  leader.  They are a member of staff with responsibility for:

  • Developing the subject's Intent, Implementation and Impact Report
  • Producing and monitoring an annual action plan to ensure continuous improvement
  • The whole school overview of the curriculum and ensuring that is it progressive across each year group
  • Producing a budget bid and spending these funds with maximum impact
  • Supporting other members of staff with their subject knowledge and their subject specific vocabulary
  • Sourcing and providing subject specific training
  • Maintaining the subject's high profile across the school

Below is a list of which member of staff is responsible for each curriculum area.  If you have any questions about a specific subject area, then please contact the subject leader through the school office.

Also, If you have any skills or subject knowledge that you feel would be of benefit to our school, and you are willing to donate your time to the school, then we would love to hear from you.  The incredible art work in our school library was painted by one of our parents and has helped to improve the reading environment for all of our children.
